The larger of the two yurts, the meadow yurt easily accommodates a family of four with a comfortable king size bed, an electric blanket for colder nights and two fold down single futon beds for kids, all with additional blankets, not to mention the joy of your own cosy wood burner. You will also find some inspiring books, maps and games for all age groups to encourage a full digital detox.
The yurt is surrounded by wild flowers, paths carved out of the long grass and bamboo tunnels that frame the field for kids to explore. The tennis court is ideally placed at the other end of the field, ideal for keeping watch on kids, while you kick back and relax. Further afield are the magnificent gardens, the vegetable garden, the wood barrel sauna and the wild woodland.
The field kitchen is fully equipped with a full size private fridge, gas stove, pots, pans, cutlery, tea, coffee, cleaning products, kettle, BBQ and not to mention the essential fire pit for roasting marshmallows.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead in the vegetable garden and communal gardens.
Facilities
The heated pressurized outdoor double shower is a highlight with guests, especially under the blue skies or stars at night.
There is a private long drop loo next to the yurt and an indoor flushing loo just a short walk away.
You may prefer a closer to nature, ‘al fresco’ experience showering amongst the azaleas listening to the bird song. There is also an additional ‘Shower shack’ and a dip tank ideal for cooling off after or during the sauna. Cold shower outside yurt for rinsing wetsuits and sandy dogs.
